FAMU All-MEAC thrower Sasha-Ann Lebert, set the FAMU record for the weight throw with a toss of 16.99m at the BSC Panther Invite Indoor Track Meet at the CrossPlex in Birmingham, Ala.

The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced Dynasty Jones, Nakia Linson, Jasmine Smith and Ashley Ivey as second team All-Americans for 2013.

Florida A&M was well represented on day one of the 2013 NCAA outdoor track and field national championships. Lady Rattlers competed in the 4x100m relay, while Nakia Linson competed in the 100m dash.

Four sprinters from Darlene Moore's 2012-2013 Lady Rattler track team qualified for the NCAA National Championships. Nakia Linson, Dynasty Jones, Ashley Smith and Ashley Ivey will represent FAMU.

Sprinter Nakia Linson, thrower Sasha Ann Lebert, sprinter Jasmine Smith and a concerted team effort led the Lady Rattler Track & Field team toward their goal of a championship as they placed third.

FAMU thrower Sasha-Ann Lebert took first place in the discus, with a toss of 46.07m (151-02) to take first place. Elias Chesire took gold for the Rattlers in the 5,000m run in 14:51.84.

The Florida A&M women's track team got in several top 10 finishes on Saturday at the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational Track Meet at Percy Beard Field on the campus of the University of Florida.

The Florida A&M Lady Rattler tennis team fought valiantly, but were unable to unseat the top-seeded Morgan State University Bears in the first round of the 2013 MEAC Tennis Championship.
