Five student-athletes are recognized this week as MEAC Track and Field Athletes of the Week

The Savannah State University men's and women's track and field teams recorded four top-10 finishes at the UAB Vulcan Invite on Saturday in the Birmingham Crossplex Arena.

The Hampton University men's track & field team won the Tri-Meet, which was held on Wednesday at the Boo Williams Sportsplex, besting Norfolk State and VCU. The women's track & field team finished second.

Hampton's Trey Holloway and Ce'aira Brown were chosen as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Men's and Women's Track Athletes of the Week.

Zoe Ellis and Joshua McClam topped North Carolina Central University with an event victory and a top-three finish each during Saturday's Joe Hilton Indoor Track & Field Invitational in Chapel Hill, hosted by the University of North Carolina.

The Savannah State University men's and women's indoor and outdoor track and field released its 2016 schedule that features four home meets in the outdoor season.
