Delaware State University Interim Director of Athletics Louis Skip Perkins has announced the appointment of Damion Drummond as the new head coach of the Hornets' cross country and track and field teams.

The Coppin State men's and women's cross-country teams will be spending plenty of quality time commuting between Delaware State and Maryland Eastern Shore during the 2015 season.

Last year the men's cross country squad capped off an excellent season with a MEAC Championship. This fall the team will put their title defense on the line with a series of challenging meets, both home and away.
