UMES' Khalil Rimidi Kinnini was selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Male Cross Country Performer of the Week. FAUM's Effiey Kosgei earned the Female Performer of the Week honors, the conference announced on Wednesday.
Hosting its second cross country meet of the season, the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) had the challenging task of trying to improve on two straight first place finishes for the men and two straight second place finishes for the women.
Led by Mark London and Alaric Coker, the Coppin State men's cross-country team finished second overall in the Towson Invitational at the Oregon Ridge Park course Friday afternoon.
